Passed written. Looking for partner for studies

Hey guys,

Prob the wrong forum to post this but I am looking for a partner for V5 studies for RS.

I have been doing networking for the last 7 years.  Noone at work is at this level in their career, I think i maybe the only one on this island trying(They say the state only has 10 ccies).

It would be awesome if you were IN Hawaii but thats not a big deal, just similar time zone will do(-10 here).  Mostly looking for sake of sanity checks, maybe some webex stuff.

I have my lab built with esx5.1 running csr1000vs could help you out with setting up yours.

If you guys are interested or have any questions dont hesitate to ask.

Is there any documenation that could be shared for how AD is configured in the POD? I have my own POD that mirrors the INE POD but i am unsure how to configure AD to match the INE POD. Can any documentation be shared?

Thanks,

I know it's been asked - I've searched and am still unclear.

What's available?  Configuration Guides?  Command References?  Design Guides?

I know where it is, just not which ones.

Thanks,

ASA Cut-Through Proxy TACACS Authorization

I was wondering where I might find some documentation how to create traffic authorization using command sets. The first example telnet and address makes perfect sense. However the second 1/8 isn’t 100% clear to me. I am guessing the 1 comes from ICMP protocol number and 8 comes from ICMP echo request.

What other protocols support the easy name translations?

Also based on the wording it seems we are supposed to authenticate all traffic going through the ASA from VLAN17. The given example allows for unauthenticated HTTP traffic to R3. That is because the authentication ACL doesn’t have a match statement for HTTP traffic. Was this by design?

1000V Control Interface Port-Profile

So I've migrated everything (VMKs and VMs) to the 1000V with one exception - the Control interface on the VSM. When I attempt to migrate the interface to a 'standard' Veth PP, my VSM loses connectivity to my VEMs. I'm running L3 mode and using Control0 for my connections. If I move it back to the standard vSwitch, connectivity is immediately restored. I even tried adding it to my L3control PP, but that failed as well.

To migrate 100% to the 1000V, where does the Control interface go?

Hi ,

As i understood that FI dejavue check will drop traffic if it has been broadcasted from southband network & returened to the broadcast uplink.

What id the FI has two broadcast uplinks (if possible) and recieved the same broadcast traffice in one of these uplinks and then again in the other uplink ? does the dejavu check work here ?

Can you guys give me some feedback on this new diagram format?  I'm trying to get a mix between complete information while at the same time not making the diagram too busy and unreadable. The diagram is optimized for 1080p.  Click it to open in fullscreen:

IOS Local Authentication

Just wanted to mention that in this scenario through my testing with R1 the username is ignored.

"Verify settings for VTY lines on R1; both username and password are actually the line password, because there are no local users configured:"

Based on your comments it seems you are hinting they must be the same.

R1#telnet 150.1.1.1
Trying 150.1.1.1 ... Open

User Access Verification

Username: aldfkj
Password:

R1#
R1#

Also is there a reason why you used a non default method list on R3? I got it working with the default and saved myself two commands :).

anyone seen this?

(on CSR)

R1(config)#router ei 100
%EIGRP: Could not create the router process
R1(config)#router ei 10
R1(config-router)#do sh run | in eigrp
router eigrp 10
R1(config-router)#

It lets me create eigrp process 10.  But not 100?!  (and no other eigrp config on the router)

:/

VPN Topology on v5 Demo

Hello all,

I watched the demo of the V5 that Bruno recorded and I noticed something interesting in his examples. In the VPN diagram he has VPN tunnels that are dynamic and static. I'm not quite sure what he is referencing here. Is this referring to Site-to-Site and DMVPN tunnels. Yellow are the static tunnels which I assume would be Site-to-Site, and the Green is Dynamic which I assume is going to be DMVPN? Am getting this correct?

Also in the demo, he referenced the requirement of making sure "Other EIGRP routers are not used as transit devices to reach other hubs in the DMVPN topology." That sparked some interest. So in racking my brain is he referring to making each DMVPN device an EIGRP stub?

I had alot more questions after watching this than I had expected. Diag section looks to be pretty neat.

Each phone will ring when dialed, but there is no audio. I ran a few debuggers "debug cch323 rtp" and it appears data is flowing via rtp. When the phoens are dialed and answerd, I ran a "show voip rtp connections" on each router and they both showed active connections.
I tried different codecs under the ephone. Any ideas? Could it be older code, either IOS or phone?
