Updating configuration files for home lab

Hi,

I'm hoping someone out there has done this already and can point me in the right direction.  I'm working on a home lab and I need to modify the initial configuration files to match my interface names and such, i.e. serial0 =? serial0/0/0.  Is there any easier way to update the files then going through each one and doing a find and replace?
